Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible (data controller)

The controller of your personal data is S - KONSULT, s.r.o., with registered office at Jána Smreka 6158/10, 841 08 Bratislava, Slovakia (IČO 35 728 388). For any privacy matter you can reach us at privacy@translationkeep.com.

2. What data we collect

• Account data: your email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), any name you provide, and, if you sign in with GitHub, your GitHub identifier and username.
• Site & translation data: the websites or repositories you connect and the translation content we import, store and publish for you.
• Usage & technical data: IP address, browser/user-agent, and request logs — used to operate the Service, enforce rate limits, and prevent abuse.
• Communications: messages you send us and emails we send you (e.g. account, verification and notification emails).

3. Why we process it and our legal basis

• To provide the Service (create your account, connect your sites, import, edit and publish translations) — performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b).
• Security, abuse prevention and rate limiting — our legitimate interests in keeping the Service safe and available, Art. 6(1)(f).
• Legal compliance (e.g. responding to lawful requests) — Art. 6(1)(c).
• Any optional analytics or marketing, if introduced — based on your consent, Art. 6(1)(a), which you may withdraw at any time.

4. Cookies

We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. These do not require consent. If we later add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent through a cookie banner before setting them.

5. How long we keep your data

• Account, site & translation data: for as long as your account is active, and then deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• Logs: kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics, typically 90 days.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers ("processors") acting on our instructions, and only as needed to run the Service, for example:

• Hetzner Online GmbH (application and database hosting);
• Hostcreators.sk (domain and email hosting, including transactional and notification emails);
• GitHub, Inc. (authentication and source-control integration) when you sign in with GitHub or connect a repository.

We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights.

7. International transfers

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email privacy@translationkeep.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky).

9. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
